The Impact formed in mid 2006 as a trio comprised of Brandon Creath, Seth Lang, and Phil Lirette. Creath and Lang had been apart of a previous musical experience known as 3 Score and Ten. In the summer of 2006 they attended Camp Jam, a week-long camp, where they met Lirette. He was originally a guitarist, but Creath had once heard him play drums and decided he was cut out for the job.
